Autumn MY goal in 2021 is to accomplish the goals I set in 2020, which I should have done in 2019 because I made apromise in 2018 which I planned in 2017

... to catholic confession but it is not. jews fast for 24 hkurs, NOT as punishment or penance, but to remember that there are people who are hungry and not on purpose and not just for one day. it is more an empathy thing.
which is not why i bring it up lol. i bring it up because on yom kippur we ask forgiveneess of those we have wronged and try to forgive those who have wronged us.
sort of like a new year's resolution. but asking for forgiveness with no effort not to repeat the wrong doesn't count
and asking but not receiving it DOES count because the point is the sincerity of the apology, not whether or not it was accepted. so i think this is where thr concept of the new year's resolution originated.
